Airlines' On-Time Records Improve In September, Up From August (PHOTOS) Oct 4th 2012, 20:34 North American airlines posted an improved on-time performance for September, gaining more than five points compared to August's numbers. More than four out of five flights (80.5%) landed within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival times, according to new data from FlightStats. One major execption? American Airlines, which had a dismal 59.08% on-time rate for the month, the numbers show. Airlines also did better regarding cancellations, with 7,985 flights not operating as scheduled, compared to 14,564 canceled in August. Read More... More on Airlines
