It was a wild ride of the unexpected on "Flip Men" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on Spike), and another example of how well a mental disorder can be hidden. Mike and Doug thought they had a steal when they shelled out $67,000 for a home that looked great on the outside.
What that view didn't reveal was that the interior was packed floor-to-ceiling with stuff. They'd accidentally picked up a hoarder's home, and all the stuff was still there. That meant a much more massive clean-up than they could have anticipated just to get the house cleaned out.
It proved to be only the first surprise of the project. After they'd gotten the hoard removed, they were working in the house when an explosion rocked them and the camera crew. Upon inspection, the water heater had exploded.
