Tom Kenville Dead: Former Sports Writer, Publicist For Muhammad Ali Dies At 82 Sep 6th 2012, 07:32 BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) — Tom Kenville, the former Associated Press and New York Times sports writer who served as a publicist for Muhammad Ali, has died. He was 82. Kenville died Tuesday at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long battle with cancer, nephew Mark Kenville said Wednesday. In addition to his sports writing jobs, Kenville was a member of the boxing promotion department at Madison Square Garden, a publicist for Top Rank Boxing, and served as the official scorekeeper for the New York Knicks and Rangers.
